If you say you “don’t have time”, guess what? You have as many hours in a day as Beyonce does. Or Oprah or Russell Brunson or Gary Vaynerchuk or whoever that person is for you. You have just as much time as the people you look up to or aspire to be.
Getting into the #1 excuse I hear from most entrepreneurs, which is “I don’t have enough time”. This isn’t even specific to entrepreneurs; I’m sure you can think of someone in your life who’s constantly busy – or at least they constantly talk about how busy they are… – that maybe they can’t make time for you or they can’t make the time to add this one extra thing to their life, even if it’s going to help them in the long run. They’re stretched so thin that they can’t deal with adding one more responsibility to their plate.
The thing is, this way of thinking can quickly lead to your entire life passing you by. That sounds dramatic, but it’s true. If you’re busy, busy, busy all the time – you might actually be closing yourself off to exciting and prosperous opportunities.
As entrepreneurs, it’s especially easy to get caught up in that cycle of being constantly busy. It’s good to be busy, it might even mean your business is booming… but eventually, you’re bound to hit a wall.
For one, you’re human. This is where the whole “hustle and grind” culture gets to me: you can’t go at 100% 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the rest of your life. Giving yourself space for rest and for the things that are most important in your life are crucial not only for your health, but for the success of your business.
I think the words “I don’t have time” come from fear. Maybe you’re scared that video marketing will somehow hurt your strategy… but that’s just not going to happen. The absolute worst thing that can happen is that your video marketing strategy results in 0 views, and even then, you still have omnipresent video assets to promote your brand for years to come.
There is essentially no risk when it comes to video marketing and, better yet, there doesn’t have to be any cost to getting started. Your only real risk is that focusing on video marketing will take time away from the other priorities in your business… and that doesn’t have to happen either, if you plan correctly!
What if I told you that you have the ability to create 6 months’ worth of content in a weekend?
What if I told you that you can make the time by automating your entire video marketing strategy?
Sure, turning an idea into a published post can take all day… but it doesn’t have to. I teach my clients the importance and efficiency of bath filming, batch editing, batch scripting, and otherwise making an impact and profit on autopilot.
If you’re planning to post 1 video a week for the next 6 months, that’s 26 video topics that you can come up with and plan titles for in one sitting. Then, you can move on to scripting them all. After that, you have 26 videos ready for filming, and then 6 months’ worth of footage to batch edit. After that, optimization, scheduling, and repurposing come into play.
That’s what I like to call MAKING time!
If you plan ahead and organize your video marketing strategy in this way, soon enough, you won’t be able to remember what it was like to NOT do video! The idea is that video integrates easily into your life and establishes a new way for to you drive massive impact for your audience and profit for your business.
Years ago, I could never have predicted how valuable video marketing would be for my business. Not only has video made it possible for me to get my message out there and build my movement, but my entire business is now based on video marketing and teaching my clients to use it to build THEIR movements.
