Working online is pretty much a dream come true in a lot of ways.
I get to work for myself, lead a team of people from all different locations, I get to choose where my “office” is, and so on. It’s so much fun and I love being able to connect with people all over the world.
But working online also has its drawbacks…
Recently, I was doing a live webinar, and it was probably one of the best webinars I’ve ever done. The chat was blowing up, everybody was loving it and having so many “aha!” moments and then… I closed my laptop to an empty house. My voice was hoarse from delivering my message to so many visionary entrepreneurs around the world, but as soon as the training was over, so was the validation.
That’s why I love traveling the world, doing live speaking engagements, and meeting with my audience face-to-face, because it almost proves the real-world impact of what I teach.
As much as I love getting the privilege of working online and I know my movement is really affecting people, when I close that laptop, I have to work hard to convince myself that this is all real!
I used to feel pretty alone in that experience, but it’s something that we’re all dealing with right now in the face of this global pandemic.
It’s great to be able to connect with people over Zoom or FaceTime, but when you don’t see people in person, there’s definitely a missing piece.
I’m really grateful for my safety and health right now, but I’m also so excited to be able to get back out into the world, travel, and see my audience in real life!
